Assessment of the recreational effect in urban areas with water sources and species of the genus SALIX | Оценка рекреационного эффекта на городских территориях с водными источниками и видами рода SALIX

The purpose of the research is to establish the recreational effect of willow (Salix) plantings in the public park of the town of Volsk, the Saratov region, and its dependence on the availability of various water sources. The city is located in the southern forest steppe Volga upland. The investigating procedure relied on full-scale and visual methods of environmental analysis. The mathematical model previously developed by O.B. Sokolskaya was used to determine the recreational effect in dependence on lighting and visit duration, followed by its improvement and saturation of data for following parameters: the green space structure on the banks and near reservoirs, the dynamism of water bodies, the shading of the surface by plant objects including aquatic ones. There are 4 recreational facilities within the park: "Control Zone", "Stream zone", "Pond zone", "Groundwater zone". The neutral zone, which has no water sources and willow plantations, is not included in the study. It has been determined that the recreational effect depends on the height of coastal vegetation, its proximity to the water, height of Sun (i.e., the time of day) and the seeing duration. It has been revealed that coastal trees and shrubs and their shadows significantly affect the overall attractiveness of landscape objects with water spaces. It has been found that the studied "Stream zone" has the greatest shadow, and the dynamism of streams increases at the borders of streams and ponds. The "pond zone" has a predominant recreational effect over the rest of the studied territories. The most significant extended recreational effect is owned by the "Stream zone", this indicator reaches here 1.2, that is 1.3-2.7 times higher than the recreational effect of other territories. Willow trees of the genus Salix have a number of advantages over other green planting.

russe. Цель исследований: установление рекреационного эффекта (РЭ) посадок ивовых насаждений в городском парке г. Вольска Саратовской области и его зависимости от наличия различных водных источников. Город находится в южной лесостепи Приволжской возвышенности. Методика исследований опиралась на натурные и визуальные методы анализа среды. Использована математическая модель О.Б. Сокольской по определению РЭ от освещения и от времени с последующим ее улучшением и насыщением данных по параметрам: структуры зеленых насаждений на берегах и вблизи водоемов, динамичности водных объектов, затенения поверхности растительными объектами (включая водную). В пределах парка выделено 4 рекреационных объекта: "Зона контроля", "Зона ручья", "Зона пруда", "Зона грунтовых вод". Нейтральную зону, в которой нет водных источников и ивовых насаждений, в исследование не включали. Определено, что РЭ зависит от высоты прибрежной растительности, близости ее к воде, высоты солнца, то есть часа дня, и длительности осмотра. Выявлено, что прибрежные зеленые насаждения и их тени заметно влияют на общую аттрактивность ландшафтных объектов с водными пространствами. Установлено, что исследуемая "Зона ручьев" имеет наибольшую затененность, а динамичность потоков повышается на границах ручьев и пруда. "Зона пруда" обладает преимущественным рекреационным эффектом перед остальными исследуемыми территориями. Самым значимым расширенным РЭ владеет "Зона ручьев": этот показатель достигает здесь 1,2, что в 1,3-2,7 раз превышает РЭ других территорий. Ивовые культуры вида рода Salix обладают рядом преимуществ перед другими зелеными насаждениями.
