"Comparación de dos cortes y tres tipos de podas y su influencia en las características agronómicas de rosas."

" En esta investigación se evaluaron, en el invernadero El Capulín, diferentes características agronómicas de 20 genotipos de rosas con amplia gama de variabilidad, con el objetivo de comparar dos cortes y tres tipos de podas, y de estudiar su influencia en las diferentes características agronómicas, para así identificar las variedades de rosas sobresalientes en calidad y estimar las correlaciones fenotípicas entre diferentes pares de características. Los cortes y las podas se realizaron cuando los genotipos tuvieron de dos años de edad, aproximadamente. Se utilizó el diseño experimental de bloques al azar con arreglo a los tres factores siguientes: A = Cosecha (cosecha 1 y cosecha 2); B = Poda (ascenso, descenso y estipulada); C = Variedades (20 genotipos). Se tomaron datos sobre 10 características. El análisis de varianza indicó diferencias significativas para todas las características estudiadas entre los genotipos, pero no se encontraron diferencias entre las diferentes podas. Los dos cortes de flores en el cultivo de rosa incrementan los valores en las siguientes características: longitud de tallo, diámetro de tallo, diámetro de tallo madre, arreglo floral y número de pétalos, lo que aumenta la calidad de la flor. La poda ascenso fue mejor respecto a las podas descenso y estipulada, en relación con la producción de calidad de tallo floral. En mayoría de las características estudiadas en rosas, se identificaron las variedades Marlisse, Vivaldi, Liberty y Royalty como sobresalientes."

" In this investigation 20 genotypes of rose varieties with a broad spectrum of variability for different agronomic traits were evaluated in the greenhouse “The Capulin”, with an object of comparing two cuttings and three types or pruning and to study their influence on different agronomic characteristics, of indentify superior varieties of roses in quality and to study phenotypic correlations between different pairs of characters. The two cuttings and three prunings (ascent, descent and stipulate) were carried out when the genotypes were two years or growth. A randomized block design was used with factorial arrangement of three factors ABC namely A = Cutting (cutting 1 and cutting 2); B = Pruning (ascent, descent and stipulate); C = Varieties (20 genotypes). Data was recorded on ten characters. The analisis of variance showed significant differences for all the characters stud ied among genotypes. The differences were nonsignificant between three prunings. The two cuttings of rose flowers increased the values of the following characters: stem length, stem diameter, maternal stem diameter, floral arrangement and number of petals and increased the quality of flowers. The ascending pruncing was the best in the production of quality flowral stem. The varieties Marlises, Vivaldi, Liberty and Royalty were identified as superior for the majority of the characters studied."
