In this article the process of black currant development under the new conditions of development under the influence of changing climate is presented. In summer, high temperatures, drought, strong winds cause serious damage to agriculture. Therefore, it is necessary to find out which variety of black currant grows best in the central part of the Republic of Moldova. Plant development was assessed after the first year of planting. Data were collected and analyzed on the following indicators: number and length of stems, number and length of annual growths, number of shoots and distance between shoots on a shoot. As a result of the study it was established that Titania variety produced more shoots, on average 10.75 shoots per plant in the 3.0 x 0.8 m planting scheme in a row; and in the 3.0 x 0.7 m planting scheme in a row Titania variety produced the most shoots - 14.82 shoots per plant, with an average distance between shoots of 1.46 cm. In the Tisel variety the longest shoots reached 29.55 cm in the 2.75 x 0.9 m zigzag planting scheme; in the Tiben variety the average distance between shoots varied the most, from 1.46 cm in the 3.0 x 0.9 m in-line planting scheme to 3.13 m in the 2.75 x 0.8 m zigzag planting scheme.
