Description The dataset consists of simulation files (.sim), the geometries used in the simulations (.stl), and result summaries in Excel sheets (.xlsx) and as figures and plots (.png). Moreover, a script for usage in R is added (.txt) Using measurement data from the EmiDaT project [1], digital twins of three naturally ventilated cattle barns (barn I, barn II, barn III) were developed and validated. Barn I featured a slatted floor with a manure pit underneath, barn II had a slatted floor with external manure storage, and barn III had a solid floor with manure also stored externally. The boundary conditions used for the simulations can be found on the first sheet of the respective Excel files, and the results of the validation simulations are on the second sheet. After successful validation, simulations were carried out for events that were not covered by the measurement periods of the EmiDaT data. For this purpose, weather data from nearby measurement stations operated by the German Weather Service were evaluated. The boundary conditions for these simulations are provided on the third sheet of the Excel file, and the corresponding results are on the fourth sheet. The statistical evaluation can be reproduced by using the R-script. Solution data and simulation plots are given to allow for transparency and reproductivity of the results. This approach demonstrated that simulations can extend the data basis beyond the available measurement data. This can lead to improved estimates of annual emission behavior and better extrapolation of emission factors. References 1. KTBL.
