anglais. Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is a medicinal herb that plays a crucial role in human health. Its Pharmacological properties include disease treatment, brain tonic enhancement memory improvement and antioxidant effects. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of adding ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) to the KMITL 2 nutrient solution on growth and the enhancement of important phytochemicals content for medicinal use in hydroponics systems. The experiment involved different NH4NO3 concentrations (0 (control), 0.5, 1 and 2 mEq/L) over 8 weeks. The results indicated that concentrations of 1 and 2 mEq/L significantly affected plant length, number of branches, fresh weight and dry weight (p<0.05). In contrast NH4NO3 did not affect root length (p>0.05). The highest average amounts of phytochemicals were found in Brahmi extracted with 95% ethanol   at concentration of 0.5, 1 and 2 mEq/L, including total phenols, total flavonoids, total saponins, and antioxidant activity measured by DPPH assays, with statistical significance (p<0.05). However, it did not affect antioxidant activity measured by the ABTS assays (p>0.05). Therefore, adding NH4NO3 at concentrations of 1 and 2 mEq/L to the KMITL 2 nutrient solution effectively stimulates the growth and phytochemicals content of Brahmi in hydroponic systems.

thaï. พรรณไม้น้ำพรมมิ (Bacopa monnieri) ถือเป็นพืชสมุนไพรที่มีบทบาทในด้านสุขภาพของมนุษย์ โดยมีสรรพคุณทางเภสัชวิทยาในการรักษาโรค บำรุงสมอง ความทรงจำ และต้านอนุมูลอิสระ โดยงานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความเข้มข้นของแอมโมเนียมไนเตรต (NH4NO3) ในสูตรสารละลายธาตุอาหาร KMITL 2 ที่เหมาะสมต่อการเจริญเติบโต และปริมาณสารสำคัญทางการแพทย์ของพรมมิในระบบปลูกพืชไร้ดิน จากการเพิ่มแอมโมเนียมไนเตรตที่มีความเข้มข้นแตกต่างกัน 4 ระดับ ๆ ละ 3 ซ้ำ ได้แก่ 0 (ชุดควบคุม), 0.5, 1 และ 2 mEq/L เป็นระยะเวลา 8 สัปดาห์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า การเพิ่มแอมโมเนียมไนเตรตที่ความเข้มข้น 1 และ 2 mEq/L สามารถกระตุ้นการเจริญเติบโตของพรมมิ ได้แก่ ความยาวลำต้น จำนวนกิ่ง น้ำหนักสด และน้ำหนักแห้ง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) แต่ไม่ส่งผลต่อความยาวรากทางสถิติ (p>0.05) ผลของสารพฤกษเคมี พบว่า การเพิ่มแอมโมเนียมไนเตรตที่ความเข้มข้น 0.5, 1 และ 2 mEq/L ปริมาณเฉลี่ยมากที่สุดจากการสกัดพรมมิด้วย 95% เอทานอล ได้แก่ ปริมาณฟีนอลทั้งหมด ปริมาณฟลาโวนอยด์ทั้งหมด ปริมาณซาโปนินทั้งหมด และปฏิกิริยาในการต้านอนุมูลอิสระ โดยวิธี DPPH อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) แต่ไม่ส่งผลต่อปฏิกิริยา ในการต้านอนุมูลอิสระ โดยวิธี ABTS ทางสถิติ (p>0.05) ดังนั้น การเพิ่มแอมโมเนียมไนเตรตที่ระดับความเข้มข้น 1 และ 2 mEq/L ลงในสูตรสารละลายธาตุอาหาร KMITL 2 มีประสิทธิภาพกระตุ้นการเจริญเติบโต และการสร้างสารสำคัญของพรมมิในระบบปลูกพืชไร้ดิน
