Distribuição espacial do índice de manejo do carbono em luvissolos sob sistemas agrícolas tradicionais e agroflorestais no município de Sobral-CE.

O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar o índice de manejo de carbono (IMC) em sistemas agrícolas convencionais e agroflorestais. A área experimental localiza-se na Fazenda Crioula, pertencente ao Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Caprinos da EMBRAPA, no município de Sobral-CE. Foram selecionadas as seguintes áreas: agrissilvipastoril, silvipastoril, tradicional 1, tradicional 2, cultivo Intensivo em pousio, vegetação natural 1 e vegetação natural 2. A área estudada foi georeferenciada e as amostras foram coletadas em transectos a profundidade de 0-5 cm a cada 20, 10 ou 5 m de acordo com o relevo. O IMC foi determinado a partir do estoque e da labilidade do carbono orgânico particulado e associado. Os resultados foram avaliados através de medidas descritivas e técnicas geoestatísticas. As áreas sob manejo agroflorestal apresentaram um maior IMC confirmando a eficiência dos sistemas agroflorestais em aumentar o estoque de carbono no solo e a variabilidade espacial. Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the carbon management index (IMC) in traditional and agroforestry farming system. The experimental area located at the Crioula Farm, EMBRAPA/CNPC, in Sobral County, CE. The following systems were evaluated: Agrisilvipastoril (AGP), Silvipastoril (SILV), Traditional 1(TR1), Traditional 2(TR2), Fallow Intense Cropping (CIP), Natural Vegetation 1 (VG1) and Natural Vegetation 2 (VG2). The studied field was georeferenced and soil samples were collected to a depth of 0-5 cm every 20, 10 or 5 m, according to the condition of terrain. The carbon management index was determined from the stock and the lability of organic carbon particulate and associate. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistic and geostatistic technique. The areas under management and agroforestry showed IMC superior, confirmed the efficiency of the agroforestry systems increasing o carbon stocks and spatial variability.
