Determination of heavy metals in surface water and soil adjacent to industrial region.

The paper discusses the impact of mining and processing industry on the environment, using the example of the Kazreti deposit. A 6-month cycle of conducted studies and content of 4 heavy metals in both water and soil samples are presented. The results of the analysis show that the content of heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn) is significantly increased compared to their background content and is also much higher than the maximum allowable concentration (MAC).
