Análisis tecnológico del negocio de reciclaje de paneles solares

El crecimiento de la energía solar ha impulsado la instalación masiva de paneles fotovoltaicos, generando un desafío ambiental debido a la gestión de sus residuos, especialmente por el fin de su vida útil o daños prematuros. Este TFM tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar los materiales que componen los paneles solares, evaluar las tecnologías de reciclaje disponibles y su viabilidad técnica y económica. Para ello, se estudiarán los materiales estructurales y electrónicos, se analizarán los considerados materiales estratégicos y se investigarán los procesos de reciclaje aplicables. Además, se desarrollará un caso de negocio en el que se evaluarán diferentes tecnologías del mercado y distintos escenarios para valorar su aplicabilidad y rentabilidad. Con este análisis, se busca proporcionar una visión integral del estado actual del reciclaje de paneles solares, identificando oportunidades de mejora para hacer el sector más sostenible.

The growth of solar energy has boosted the massive installation of photovoltaic panels, generating an environmental challenge related to the management of their waste, especially due to the end of their useful life or premature damage. This Master’s Thesis aims to identify and analyse the materials that make up solar panels, assess the available recycling technologies and evaluate their technical and economic viability. To this end, the structural and electronic materials will be studied, those considered strategic materials will be analysed and the applicable recycling processes will be investigated. In addition, a business case will be developed to assess different technologies available in the market and various implementation scenarios in order to evaluate their applicability and profitability. This analysis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of solar panel recycling, identifying opportunities for improvement to make the sector more sustainable.
