anglais. Fourteen native strains belonging toAzospirillum brasilense species were characterized for theircapacity to fix atmospheric nitrogen. Their effect was studiedon rice (Oryza sativa) cultivation by means of Microcosmmodel. Inoculated plant height, fresh weight of root, free phenolcontent and protein quantification were determined in leaves.A positive effect for the inoculation with these rhizobacteriawas observed in all cases, R5(15) strain being remarkable withthe highest increments of the indicators studied.

Seobservó en todos los casos un efecto positivo por la inoculacióncon estas rizobacterias, donde se destaca la cepa R5(15)con los mayores incrementos en los indicadores estudiados.
