anglais. A field study was developed to determine theright time to establish permanent flooding without affectingrice yields at �??Los Palacios�?� Rice Research Station for threeyears. Results showed that the different treatments did notsignificantly affect agricultural yield nor its components;besides, irrigation days were shortened. Regarding cycle, therewas a direct relationship between heading and the establishmentof permanent flooding, since the earlier the flooding, thesooner the heading.

En la Estación Experimental del Arroz �??Los Palacios�?�, durante tres años en campo, se desarrolló un estudio para determinar el momento de establecimiento del aniego permanente en el cultivo sin afectar los rendimientos. Los resultados arrojaron que los diferentes momentos en que se establecieron los aniegos permanentes no afectaron significativamente el rendimiento agrícola y sus componentes, lográndose una reducción en los días de riego. En cuanto al comportamiento del ciclo, se pudo observar que existe una relación directa entre la aparición de la panícula y el establecimiento del aniego permanente, ya que a medida que se estableció el aniego más temprano, así fue la tendencia de la paniculación.
