Resposta da cultura do milho a diferentes fontes de enxofre e formas de aplicação de micronutrientes | Response of the corn crop to different sulfur sources and forms of applying micronutrients

With the purpose of evaluating the rate of absorption of nutrients dry matter and agronomic efficiency of fertilizers in corn crop associated to two sources of sulfur and two forms of micronutrients, experiments were conducted in both greenhouse and field. In greenhouse was utilized hybrid DKB390 evaluated under a completely randomized design in factorial scheme 2 (soils) x 3 (fertilizers) x 6 (phenological stages) with three replicates. The soil of cultivating of corn monoculture area and the ravine soil never cultivated were utilized. Three types of formulated fertilizers (NPK), associated with sulfur (ammonium sulfate or elemental sulfur) and the control without S, were used. The accumulation of nutrients in the leaf, shoot and root dry matters was evaluated. The data were collected at six stages: E1 (6 leaves), E2 (10 leaves), E3 (14 leaves), E4 (tasseling), E5 (flowering) and E6 (physiological maturity). The fertilizers provided differences in the shoot dry matter and in the accumulations of nitrogen, sulfur and magnesium. The accumulation of sulfur in the elementary form in corn is similar to that obtained with the sulfur of ammonium sulfate. Elemental sulfur provided results superior to the fertilizer without sulfur and similar to the fertilizer with ammonium sulfate in Lavras-MG and one in um Ijaci-MG in no-tillage planting established in November/2009. The experiment in conventional system was established in December/2009 in Lavras-MG. The design was in randomized blocks with five replicates in factorial scheme 3 x 2, that is, three fertilizers, one without sulfur and the other two with different sources of sulfur (elemental sulfur or ammonium sulfate), associated to two forms of micronutrients (granular or coated granule). No differences were found for sources of sulfur and forms of supplying micronutrients. The different sources of sulfur affect the characteristics in a similar way and do not depend on the form of the micronutrients. The replacement of sulfur coming from ammonium sulfate by elemental sulfur in NPK fertilizers or even the absence of this in fertilizers will not endanger the agronomic efficiency of fertilizers.

Produção Vegetal

Com o objetivo de avaliar a marcha de absorção de nutrientes, matéria seca e a eficiência agronômica de fertilizantes na cultura do milho associados a duas fontes de enxofre e duas formas de micronutrientes, foram conduzidos experimentos em casa-de-vegetação e no campo. Em casa-de-vegetação foi utilizado o híbrido DKB390 avaliado sob delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 (solos) x 3 (adubos) x 6 (estádios fenológicos) com três repetições. Foram utilizados, o solo de cultivo de área de monocultivo de milho e o solo de barranco nunca cultivado. Foi utilizado três tipos de adubos formulados (NPK) associados ao enxofre (sulfato de amônio ou enxofre elementar) e a testemunha sem S. Foram avaliados o acúmulo de nutrientes nas folhas, matérias secas da parte aérea e raiz. Os dados foram coletados em seis estádios: E1 (6 folhas), E2 (10 folhas), E3 (14 folhas), E4 (pendoamento), E5 (florescimento) e E6 (maturidade fisiológica). Os adubos utilizados proporcionaram diferenças na matéria seca da parte aérea e nos acúmulo de nitrogênio, enxofre e magnésio. O acúmulo de enxofre na forma elementar no milho é semelhante à obtida com o enxofre do sulfato de amônio. O enxofre elementar proporcionou resultados superiores ao adubo sem enxofre e semelhantes ao adubo com sulfato de amônio. Em condições de campo foram conduzidos um experimento em Lavras - MG e um Ijaci - MG em plantio direto instalados em nov/2009. O experimento em sistema convencional foi instalado em dez/2009 em Lavras-MG. O delineamento foi de blocos casualizados com cinco repetições em esquema fatorial 3 x 2, sendo três fertilizantes, um sem enxofre e os outros dois com diferentes fontes de enxofre (enxofre elementar ou sulfato de amônio), associados a duas formas de micronutrientes (granulado ou grânulo revestido). Não foram constatadas diferenças para fontes de enxofre e formas de fornecimento dos micronutrientes. As diferentes fontes de enxofre afetam as características de modo semelhante e independem da forma dos micronutrientes. A substituição do enxofre proveniente do sulfato de amônio pelo enxofre elementar em fertilizantes NPK ou até mesmo a ausência deste nos fertilizantes não comprometerá a eficiência agronômica dos fertilizantes.
