In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analyzed fauna of parasites of gastro-intestinal tract and natural resistance of horses in the conditions of Polesye State Radiation Ecological Reserve. There were worked the most efficient antihelminthic compounds. Analysis of helminthological state showed that extensiveness helminthic and gastrophilosis invasion of horses was at a high level. In this regard the nematodosis and gastrophilosis (Gastrophilus intestinalis) invasions prevailed. In mature and growing horses there was marked the dominance of nematode worms of Strongylidae / Trichonematidae families (78,9-83,8%) and Gasterophilidae (95,8%). Next, at growing horses there were stated nematodes Strongyloides westeri and cestoid worms of Anoplocephalidae family, at mature horses – of Gasterophilidae, Parascaris equorum and Oxyuris equi families. The following antihelminthic compounds ans preparations showed the best efficiency: Univerm; Avermektin paste 1%; Fenbendazoli, Rivertin 1%.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the formation of nonspecific protection factors of the first year foals. By a principle of conditional analogues there was generated a group of clinically healthy foals at which monthly from bulbar veins there were taken tests of blood for hematological and biochemical analysis. From the obtained data it was visible, that within the first year of foal life there were taking place the processes of formation of nonspecific protection factors of an organism which were accompanied by a gradual increasing of quantity of erythrocytes, haemoglobin, leukocytes, certain change in the diagramme, and also increasing of bactericidal and lysozyme activity of blood serum. However, at seven-month age there was marked a considerable decrease in number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, concentration of haemoglobin, bactericidal and lysozyme activity of blood serum is marked, in leukogram share reduction of segmented neutrophils, and at the same time, the content of eosinocytes and lymphocytes increased. It testified the decreasing of protective forces of an organism during this period. Consequently, the seventh month in the postnatal period of foal life proved to be the most critical.

For the determination of efficiency of a new produced in the Republic of Belarus preparation Ehkvikar there was modeled a test with a diaphoresis of guinea pigs by means of their staying in a thermostat at a temperature of 45-50 deg C in course of 30 minutes. Before and after the test there was taken a blood test for its analysis. Results of the experiment showed that together with sudo the animals lost 1-2 % of their body. There was stated the increasing of all blood corpuscles as well as lowering in 1,3-1,47 times of such elements as chlorine, sodium, potassium, and also T lymphocytes and bursa-derived lymphocytes. Application Ehkvikar promoted the stabilization of biochemical and morphological parameters of blood, and also the immune status of laboratory animals. Thus, Ehkvikar preparation promoted the compensation of losses of electrolytes with sudor of guinea pigs and in future can be studied by an example of horses for completion of electrolytes losses in the conditions of increased physical exercises.

Study of peculiar features of protein metabolism of healthy colts in the first three months of life was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Research results showed that there was a tendency of increasing of hemoglobin concentration up to 150,270+/- 4,73 g/l, number of total protein of blood serum – up to 60,33 +/- 1,33 g/l, and the decreasing of uric acid up to 97,33 +/- 10,72 micromole /l. Quantity of beta-1 and alpha globulin fractions of serum protein fluctuated a little – from 10,78 +/- 3,69% up to 8,44 +/- 1,24% and from 25,12 +/- 4,84% up to 22,06 +/- 4,93%, respectively. The most essential changes of protein metabolism were stated at two month old colts, which had urea concentration of 5,25 +/- 0,23 micromole/l, alanine aminotransferase activity – 66,92 +/- 3,16 units/l, creatine content increased up to 77,37 +/- 5,83 micromole /l; and there was the lowering of aspartate transaminase level up t159,5 +/- 8,1units/l. There was stated the lowering of albumin quantity up to 32,07 +/- 2,19%, and increasing of alpha-1, alpha2- and beta2- globulin fractions up to 7,52 +/- 1,23%, 14,98 +/- 1,41%, 11,82 +/- 1,04%, respectively. At the age of three months the quantity of urea and creatinine in blood serum of colts remained at the same level, alanine aminotransferase activity decreased on 21,56%, and aspartate transaminase increased up to 204,33 +/- 10,37 units/l. At this period the quantity of albumin fractions was 44,56 +/- 6,59%., concentration of alpha-1, alpha2- and beta2- globulins decreased on 10,64%, 30,04% and 34,52%, respectively

Results of chemical and toxicological estimation of an energized preparation, intended for increasing of performance ability and sports qualities of horses realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. The energized preparation included honey, lactalbumin hydrolyzate, pollen hydrolyzate, and teotropin. Chemical and toxicological estimation of the preparation included determination of physical, chemical and pharmacological compatibility of components of the preparation, acute and chronic toxicological characteristics, skin-resorbtive poison after single and long-term application at horse skin, topical-product-induced irritation and allergic action of the preparation. Research results showed that all components of the preparation were compatible among themselves. The preparation proved to be a low-hazardous substance (substance hazard category 4) and did not possess skin-absorptive, local-irritating and allergic action.

The Republican Agricultural Breeding Unitary Enterprise Zarechje of the Republic of Belarus is the basic horse-breeding enterprise of Belarusian coach horse breeding. In the enterprise there are 27 mares and 2 studhorses; all animals are purebred. It is established, that unaltered male horses and mares belong to Belarus coaching breed, all pedigree animals have a high class: 15 horses belong to an elite class that makes 75% from all herd, 4 heads concern the first class (20%), and 1 head – to the second class (5%). Measurements surpass the standard that can prove the appropriate selection and breeding work in the enterprise. After studying the measurements of studhorses of the enterprise in comparison with the standard it was established, that the height at crest of stallions on the average exceeds the breed standard on 30%, slanting length of a trunk - on 5,0%, a breast grasp - on 4,0% and a metacarpus grasp - on 6%. For improvement of herd of horses it is necessary to organize correctly a coupling campaign with drawing up of the coupling plan and selection of a uterus to stallions; to use in copulation only the best elite stallion.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was presented a characteristic of breeding stock of mares of Trakensky breed in accordance with body conformation and exterior. In course of the study there were taken measurements of height at the shoulder, heart-girth, metacarpus circumference at 1 year old and two year old age stages. There was calculated an index of massiveness which characterize the development of chest, index of bone which provided insight into skeleton development. Research results showed that in accordance with an exterior the breeding stock mares had a deep and massive barrel, good skeleton and developed muscle. The index of massivness was 118,4-120,5, bone index – 20,8-21,6, that corresponded to a type of riding horses. In accordance with the exterior, measurements and quality of posterity the mares of the bred lines obtained high grades and 93,5% were graded as elite class.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized a study of age-specific features of level of erythrocytes, haemoglobin in blood, activity of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, as well as concentration of calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and ferrum in blood serum of suckling colts in the first 6 months of life. In the studied animals there was stated increased levels, haemoglobin and ferrum concentration in blood, but during the 6th month of life the same indexes decreased considerably. The most considerable changes оf blood serum enzymatic activities occurred at the age of 2 and 6 months. Thus, during the 2nd month of life a raise in ALAT, LDH activity, calcium and phosphorus concentration was noticed. At the age of 6 months ALAT and ASAT levels increased, and LDH activity, magnesium and phosphorus concentration decreased. During the first 6 months of life the ALP activity was on a high level and underwent no reliable changes. As the research showed, blood serum enzymatic activity and concentration of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and ferrum depended on colt age and change at the process of growth and development of animals.
