The article offers results of genetic value assessment for pollinators resulted from population of high-productive and sugary specialization of Uladivska breeding, to be used for their recurrent improvement and development of hybridization components valuable for combining in creation of synthetics and MS hybrids of sugar beet containing reduced amount of nitrogen α-amin ions.

The article offers short characteristic of Fj hybrid combinations and reveals type of inheritance by the folwiing characteristics: plant height, height of lower bean insertion, quantity of seeds per plant, quantity of seeds per plant, beans per plant, nodes and branches per plant, as well as determines proportion of dominations displaying high heterosis effect. Two superior hybrid populations, namely Amethyst/Miao-ian-Dou and Amethyst/Krasa Podillia, have been selected and are being used to scan for transgressive forms.

The high content of phenolic compounds (quercetin-3-O-glycoside, izoramnetine-3-O-glycoside, 4'-metoxykempferol-3-O-glycoside, 4'-metoxyqvercetine-3-0-glycoside, apigenine and luteoline) in flowers of Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. in comparison with Prunus armeniaca L. has been shown. That can be the reason weak susceptibility of generative organs of cherry-plum to Sclerotinia (Monilinia) laxa (Aderh et Ruhl.) Honey.

Мета. Проаналізувати таксономічний склад колекції субтропічних рослин Хорольського ботанічного саду та вдосконалити термінологічну систему назв таксонів різного рівня та назв плодових культур. Результати. З'ясовано таксономічний склад колекції, що складається з 25 видів: Actinidia chinensis Planch., Asimina triloba (L.) D unal, Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze, Chaenomeles ×californica Clarke ex Weber, Citrus trifoliata L., Cormus domestica L., Crataegus azarolus L., Crataegus opaca Hooker & Arn., Cydonia oblonga Mill., Diospyros virginiana L., Elaeagnus multiflora Thunb., Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb., Feijoa sellowiana O.Berg, Ficus carica L., Hovenia dulcis Thunb., Laurus nobilis L., Maclura tricuspidata (Carrière) Bureau, Mespilus germanica L., Olea europaea L., Passiflora incarnata L., Prunus armeniaca L., Prunus dulcis (Mill.) D.A.Webb, Punica granatum і Ziziphus jujuba Mill., які за сучасною класифікацією належать до 22 родів, 15 родин, 8 порядків квіткових рослин. Ці види репрезентують такі плодові культури: абрикосу, азароль, азиміну, айву, акіґумі, вірджинську хурму, гранатник, ґумі, домашню горобину, зизифу, ківі, кудранію, лавр, маслину, мейхо, мигдаль, мушмулу, родзинкове дерево, смоківницю, страстоцвіт, трилисточкову цитрину, фейхоа, фісташку, чай та японську айву. Висновки. Уточнено таксономічний склад колекції субтропічних рослин Хорольського ботанічного саду та впорядковано українські назви 17 таксонів видового рівня, 12 - родового, 4 - родинного, 5 - порядкового рівня, з наведенням назв 25 культур. Українські назви ботанічних таксонів потребують приведення у відповідність до сучасної філогенетичної системи з виправленням недоречностей, успадкованих за радянської доби. Найменування родів субтропічних культур в українській мові відбувається найчастіше через транслітерування відповідних латинських назв або утворенням нових назв з прямим порядком слів у двослівних назвах з використанням давно засвоєних назв споріднених родів. Назви субтропічних культур в агробіологічній терміносистемі можуть збігатися з назвами ботанічних родів або є запозиченими тривіальними назвами рослин на різних мовах з регіонів, звідкіля їх було інтродуковано. Двослівні назви культур і видові назви різняться порядком слів, відповідно, прямим і зворотнім.

The genotypes of red currant: «Gazel», «Belka», «Jonker van Tets», «Viksne», «Selyanochka», «Niva», «Gollandskaya krasnaya», «1432-29-98» and «1426-21-80» have more xeromorphic structure of leaves, providing of ecological tolerance to drought and high temperature. Varieties «Roza», «Dana» have a low adaptation to drought resistance.
