Dada la creciente demanda de las industrias para satisfacer las necesidades comerciales, el curtido es una de las industrias que más contaminación genera dentro de los ecosistemas urbanos, provocando vertimientos nocivos, como compuestos de metales pesados, aceites y anilinas, que afectan significativamente la salud de los entes biológicos. Algunos de estos compuestos, como los iones de cromo hexavalente, provocan enfermedades graves que van desde daños fisiológicos hasta la formación de cáncer. Por tal motivo, el presente trabajo de grado tuvo como objetivo diseñar un filtro que contenga materiales de origen biológico como medio filtrante y que a su vez permita la retención del cromo total contenido en un vertimiento puntual de una curtiembre sobre el río Tunjuelo. Para cumplir con este objetivo, se hizo necesario desarrollar materiales filtrantes orgánicos capaces de retener hasta 92 % de cromo. Adicionalmente, se desarrolló un proceso de diseño donde se determinaron los requisitos y criterios esenciales de acuerdo al contexto CDIO, para luego ser analizados bajo herramientas de software CAD/CAM, considerando los parámetros físicos, mecánicos y químicos involucrados. dentro de un sistema de filtrado. Each modelling carried out in this software was used in computational analysis tests where slight deformations were found without breakpoints in the main components of the filtering, based on the parameters required for each type of computational analysis. Additionally, multiphysics parameters were established, which determined that the filtering system has an acceptable retention efficiency, around 62 %, considering the initial considerations.
