Nonpoint source pollution by swine farming wastewater in bean crop Poluição difusa da água residuária de suinocultura do feijoeiro Texte intégral

In order to verify the environmental impact of the application of swine farming wastewater in bean crop, an experiment was set up in the Experimental Farm of PUCPR - Toledo, PR, Brazil. Runoff and soil samples were collected at the end of the experiment. Four wastewater treatments were utilized during the experiment (50, 100, 150 and 200 m³ ha-1) and the without wastewater as the control. The results demonstrate that (i) the amounts of potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen in runoff are exponential, (ii) that phosphorus has a seven-fold polluting potential compared to potassium and three-fold compared to nitrogen, and (iii) that the mobility of potassium in the soil profile is the largest, followed by those of nitrogen and phosphorus.<br>Visando verificar o impacto ambiental da aplicação de água residuária de suinocultura na cultura do feijoeiro, instalou-se um experimento na Fazenda Experimental da PUCPR - Toledo, PR, Brasil; para isto, amostras do solo e do escoamento superficial foram coletadas ao final do experimento e se utilizaram quatro taxas de aplicação de água residuária durante o experimento, 50, 100, 150 e 200 m³ ha-1, sem aplicação de água residuária como testemunha. Os resultados demonstraram que: (i) as perdas de potássio, fósforo e nitrogênio no escoamento superficial são exponenciais; (ii) o fósforo apresenta potencial poluidor sete vezes maior que o potássio e três vezes maior que o nitrogênio; (iii) a mobilidade do potássio no perfil do solo é maior, seguida do nitrogênio e do fósforo.

Un análisis multitemporal permite mostrar los cambios entre diferentes períodos de tiempos determinados, para así deducir los cambios de un sistema natural consecuente de las influencias antrópicas. El propósito de este estudio es realizar un análisis multitemporal para la determinación de cambios de la calidad de agua, de 20 caños y, los ríos Guamal y Orotoy, ubicadas en el área de influencia VRO- Bloque Cubarral de Ecopetrol S.A, departamento del Meta; durante el periodo 2013-2015. La intención principal es exponer los resultados calculados de la metodología del índice de calidad de agua (ICA) de Horton, en las aguas superficiales que se encuentra en el Bloque Cubarral con base a los informes de monitoreos fisicoquímicos realizados en los periodos 2013 a 2015, empleando la herramienta ArcGis Desktop 10.2.2. Se realizó el estudio con base a ocho monitoreos fisicoquímicos de agua en el área. Sobre el total de los cálculos de índice de calidad de agua de las aguas superficiales de interés en el Bloque Cubarral, se manifiesta que el 93,83% de ellos, se definen como condición ambiental de “cuerpo de agua con niveles de calidad aceptables”; y el restante, es decir, el 6,17% evidencian un índice de calidad de agua con valores entre 0,51 – 0,80, lo cual señala una condición ambiental de corrientes de agua con indicios de contaminación. Con el ICA, se reconocen problemas de contaminación de una forma simplificada de algunos parámetros indicadores de deterioro en calidad de agua, para su evaluación, comunicación y toma de acciones. | Ingeniero Ambiental | Pregrado | A multitemporal analysis allows showing the changes between different periods of time, in order to deduce the changes of a natural system as a consequence of anthropic influences. The purpose of this study is to perform a multitemporal analysis for the determination of changes in water quality of 20 streams and the Guamal and Orotoy rivers, located in the area of influence VRO-Cubarral Block of Ecopetrol S.A., department of Meta, during the period 2013-2015. The main intention is to expose the calculated results of the Horton's water quality index (ICA) methodology, in the surface waters found in the Cubarral Block based on the reports of physicochemical monitoring carried out in the periods 2013 to 2015, using the ArcGis Desktop 10.2.2 tool. The study was conducted based on eight physicochemical water monitoring in the area. On the total of water quality index calculations of surface waters of interest in the Cubarral Block, it is stated that 93.83% of them, are defined as environmental condition of "water body with acceptable quality levels"; and the remaining, i.e. 6.17% show a water quality index with values between 0.51 - 0.80, which indicates an environmental condition of water currents with signs of contamination. With the ICA, pollution problems are recognized in a simplified form of some parameters indicators of deterioration in water quality, for their evaluation, communication and action taking.
