Influence of erosion of changes of soil cadastre classes in part of cadastre community Glozje [Yugoslavia]

This investigation was done in the cadastral commune Glozje, in the mountainous region composed of linked massifs of Cemernik, Vardenik, Besna kobila and Dukat in the western and Milevske mountains in the eastern part (SFRY). The chosen localities are between 1,150 and 1,400 m above sea level, with the inclination of 45%-11%, influenced by continental climate with characteristics of mountainous components. The mean annual precipitation is 631.7 mm, rain factor R 108.73, there are storms in summer and maximum rainfall too, the average air temperature is 8.9 C. The pedological indicator is made of humus-silicate soil and geological base of slate. The vegetation cover is made from beech (Fagetum montanum serbicum) and oak (Quercetum montanum serbicum) forests, natural glassland, field crops and orchards (plum). Erosion processes are very pronounced. Excessive deep erosion is spread over about 20% of the area. The mean coefficient value Z for the whole locality is 0.669. Land erodibility coefficient K is 0.484. Application of no antierosion measures is noticed. Erosion intensity in 1954 was 35-162 t/ha, 81 t/ha on the average, and in 1974, 42-170 t/ha, 125 t/ha on the average. Such differences in erosion intensity are a consequence of the way of utilization of land and of the condition of vegetation cover. In the period 1954-1974 the arable land was reduced by 6.23 ha, forest areas increased by 4 ha, orchard areas decreased by 4.1 ha, pastures increased by 1 ha and meadows by 2.5 ha. The minimum erosion in the period of 20 years was 10 cm at the area of 54.7 ha and maximum depth of the eroded land was 30 cm at the area of 16.5 ha. The average land loss in the whole area was 16.75 cm. The average land erosion in the whole area was 31 cm. A change in the degree of presence and distribution of cadastral cultures and classes was noticed.
