A precision multi-threshold instrument was designed and constructed to measure chilling hours with special reference to the application of this instrument for the precise determination of chilling requirements for vernalization or breaking of dormancy of plants. Low temperature hours can be measured below or within threshold temperatures as chilling hours or "weighted chilling hours" - "chilling units". Data of chilling hours below 7, 10, 13 and 16 degrees C collected from instruments placed in several Greek institutions are presented
