Effect of integrated use of organic and inorganic nitrogen sources on growth and nutrient composition of rice seedlings

Application of 120 kg N/ha proved significantly superior to 60 kg N/ha in terms of dry matter, plant height and seedling quality. Addition of green manure, poultry manure, Azolla and farmyard manure improved the quality of rice seedlings in order of 76, 54, 21 and 10% respectively over inorganic fertilizer treatment. Content of N and Zn decreased with age of seedling and increased with application of organic materials
