Effect of nitrogen, phosphorus and plant density on growth and yield of flowers in Jasminum sambac Sol. var Khoya

Application of higher dose of nitrogen appreciably increased the height and number of branches of the plants. Phosphorus had no effect on plant growth. Among the three plant densities lower plant population per unit area increased the height, number of branches and spread of the plants. Application of nitrogen significantly increased the flower production. With regard to the plant densities, larger number of plants per unit area markedly increased the number as well as the weight of flowers per unit area
