Stage of topping and chemical sucker control at varying concentrations on flue-cured tobacco yield and quality

Upon topping at the 18th leaf stage, the highest cured weight, crop value, longest and largest leaf area were observed. Heaviest and widest leaf were noted upon topping at the 15th leaf stage. Among the different chemicals for sucker control, Fair 85 produced the least number of suckers, while SSS gave the most number of suckers. Fair 85 produced the lightest suckers/plant
