Influence of D3 vitamin level on the results of fattening pigs

The experiment was carried out on 96 pigs in two fattening periods. The pigs received a fodder containing 0.9-0.95% Ca and 0.66-0.71% P and addition of vitamin D3 at four levels. There were examined the growths of body mass, essential cutting yield, Ca content in blood serum, Ca, P and ash contents in thigh and in rib bone, the persistence of those bones for fracture as well as their elasticity. There was found a beneficial influence of medium level of vitamin D3 on most of the investigated coefficients
