Studies on the Helminth parasites infested in pla-kadi-mor Trichogaster trichopterus (Pallas) from natural water at Muang district, Ayutthaya Province [Thailand]

Studies were conducted on the helminth parasites infesting Pla-Kadi-Mor Trichogaster trichopterus (Pallas) collected from various natural water resources of Muang District, Ayutthaya Province. Out of total number of 200 fishes, 180 were found to be infested with the parasites (90 percent). The highest number of infesting parasites was Pallisenthis nagpurensis (Bhalerao, 1931) which was found to be 79 percent. The least number were Ascaridia I, Ascaridia II and Camllanus trichogasterae (Pearse, 1933) which were found to be 0.5 percent
