The relief of the investigated region in the valley of the river Ralja (SFRY) (the area about 784 ha) is suitable for its excessive moisturing. The following types of soil were represented : meadow, delluvial and mineral marsh soil. Meadow soil occupies about 3/4 of a total area. It has the irregulated water and air regime and is moisturing constantly or from time to time. By their texture content the investigated soils are clays, clayey soil or clayey and sandy soil, with the share of total clay in humus cumulative horizon from 36.7 to 89.7 %, in dependance of type of soil and depth of horizon. Because of the great number of clayey plots the soils are bad pervious to water and with small capacity to air. The potassium appliance is good or medium, the nitrogen appliance is mainly medium and phosphorus appliance is different, i.e. greater part of the region has a low content of phosphorus, but some parts are very well applied with this element. It is neccessary to apply many melioration and agrotechnical measures.
