The genetic relationship of the ms1 and ms2 male sterile genes in jute (C. Capsularis L.)

Two independent recessive mutations for male sterility were identified in jute (C. capsularis L.) Genetic analysis indicated that these two mutations were at different loci. The gene symbols ms1 and ms2 are proposed for ribbon leaf male-sterile and the malesterile mutant with mormal morphology described here.
