Data on reproductive traits of 1024 Murrah and 699 Nili-Ravi buffaloes available from 3 military and 2 institution farms from 1958-81 were analysed. The average age and weight at first calving and first calving interval were 45.38 +- 0.27 months, 498.47 +- 4.40 kg and 546.47 +- 11.94 days respectively. Age at first calving was significantly affected by farms while weight at first calving was influenced by farms and periods. First calving interval was influenced by farms, periods, seasons, farm x season and weight at first calving. The heritability estimates for age and weight at first calving and first calving interval were 0.25 +- 0.06, 0.24 +- 0.06 and 0.06 +- 0.04 respectively. Genetic and phenotypic correlations between age and weight at first calving ranged from moderate to high while the correlation with first calving interval were very low
