The cold hardiness degree of pear trees in different cultivars, seasons, tissues, and some factors related to cold hardiness from late autumn to early spring were studied. The cold injury of Okusankichi pear tree was severer than Niitaka and Chojuro pear trees by low temperature treatment, and the cold injury by low temperature in Jan was severer than in Mar and Oct. The percentage of cold injury of flower bud was higher than other tissues, and the cold hardiness of pistil was weaklier than stamen and petal of lower at before blossom. The content of water of shoot bark was not related with the cold hardiness, and the content of nitrogen, carbohydrate, and crude fat were positive correlation, but the content of fructose was negative correlation with the cold hardiness
