[Influence of time of African violet (Saintpaulia ionantha H. Wendl.) leaf propagation on the number and quality of cuttings]

The time of propagation by leaf petiole cuttings had a great influence on the rooting of African violet leaves. The cuttings which were rooted in autumn and winter had a better quality than those rooted in summer. The evaluation of the number of produced cuttings and number of leaves per one plantlet showed the differences between tested cultivars. (Author)
