Evapotranspiration, crop coefficient and water use efficiency of soybean (SJ5)

Evapotranspiration (ET), crop coefficient (Kc) and water use efficiency were determined from the lysimeter (drainage type) installed in a soybean field (The Multiple Cropping Center, Chiang Mai University). The ET varied from 2.2 to 5.6 mm/day. The average values of of ET and Kc throughout the growing season were 3.3 mm/day and 0.96, respectively. Water use efficiency, with respect to total dry matter and grain yield, were 2.68 and 0.94 kg/m3 respectively
