Correlation coefficients amongst nine traits of Dioscorea deltoidea Wall. were studied on plants growing in natural habitat and later under domestication. Diosgenin content in the tubers was found positively correlated with leaf breadth and negatively correlated with petiole length both under natural conditions of growth and under domestication
