[The influence of potassium on tobacco yields and quality]

In land with a medium content of potassium, the effect of potassium fertilizers, especially of potassium sulfate, on the growth of oriental tobacco is great. Potassium sulfate mixed with 50% active substance used in tobacco growing provides good results in the tobacco yields and the quality increase. For 3 q/ha of superphosphate and 1 q/ha of ammoniumnitrate during the first hoeing, the most suitable dose of potassium sulfate for the tobacco soil is 2 q/ha
