A study on the optimization structure of agriculture and animal husbandry in Lumacha Watershed, Gansu Province

How to associate crop production with animal husbandry scientifically is an essential question in dryland farming production. From the initial results of the study on selecting the optimization structure of Agriculture and animal husbandry in Lumacha Watershed, Dingxi County, Gansu Province, the authors considered for the self-sufficient supply of grains, developing legume grasses is an important step to strengthen the systematic function, that for developing animal husbandry, close attention should be paid to increasing the amount of grass-raising animals and some adapted kinds of poultry in the future. According to the significant effect of crop production on the relationship between agriculture and animal husbandry, the authors suggested that a further study should be made to seek the ways to promote the systematic cooperation among crop production, grass production and animal husbandry.
