The authors investigated continuously the juice content of the incoming citrus shipments for two years. They discovered significant differences in juice content of the distinguished fruits in the usual way (habitat, group of species, ripening time) though the extreme values of the single samples indicated meaningful overlappings. In the period under survey they found lower juice content than the standards only at two lemon shipments from Verdel and a grapefruit shipment. The tests called attention to be wished better to co-ordinate the standards with commercial reality and the single fruits more differently to prescribe the value of minimun juice content.
