No significant correlation was found between age of rabbits of the same slaughter weight (w:2.5 kg; n:100) and killing-out percentage. Proportion of the head and of the nonedible parts in the carcases of rabbits slaughtered at 12 weeks of age at 2.0 and 2.6 kg slaughter weight decreased from 6.4 to 5.8 and from 18.8 to 16.5 per cent respectively. Proportion of the blood and edible internal parts did not change. Increasing slaughter weight of rabbits of the same age increased the proportion of the skin and table products from 13.6 to 14.8 and from 49.6 to 51.8 respectively. The correlation between body weight and killing out percentage. *=slaughter weight at 12 weeks of age(kg).
