Rice foot rot and its chemical control in Esfahan

Rice foot rot occours in some fields after transplanting and causes damage every year in Esfahan area. The rate of infection was 9.1-12.2% in infected fields. The collars of infected plants have dark brown colour and inside them the greyish pink mat of mycelium with large numbers of conidia are easily noticed. The causal organism was identified as Fusarium proliferatum (Matsushima) Nirenberg var. proliferatum which is being reported for the first time from Iran
