[Influence of collecting time and IBA application on rooting of Amara apple hardwood cultivars]

The results indicated that the second collecting time gave the highest rooting (59%). However, both 500 and 100 ppm of IBA gave 51% and 49% respectively. Interaction between each of the first collecting time and 500 ppm of IBA, and between the second collecting time and 1000 ppm of IBA increased rooting by 70% and 68%, respectively. Significant increase in branch numbers was found in the first collecting time, where there was also significant increase in length of branches in the second collecting time. Although, the second collecting time caused a significant increase in dry weight of cutting root stock. No significant effect of any other treatments was found
