This paper underscores the need to view pest control technology in storage in the context of the existing system where both production and post-production operations play a profound effect on the magnitude of losses that are likely to occur in unchecked conditions. Past and present researches in the country [Philippines], pest complexes, biology and ecology, insecticides and insect resistance, environmental modification techniques, and recent technologies developed overseas are discussed.
