Screening for bacterial stalk rot resistance in corn [Philippines]

Of the 107 corn accessions screened during the 1985 wet season, 8 were resistant, 38 were intermediate and 61 were susceptible. During the 1986 dry season test, 30 were resistant, 139 were intermediate and 30 were susceptible among the 208 corn accessions screened. Inoculation of the entries on both seasons followed whorl inoculation technique.
