Brzoska, F. (Instytut Zootechniki, Krakow (Poland). Zaklad Paszoznawstwa)
Mineral content in 66 samples of four grass species: orchardgrass, Italian ryegrass, timothy and perennial ryegrass, two varieties in each, was determined. Grasses were harvested three times a year. The level of mineral fertilization was 240 kg N/ha, 120 kg P205/ha and 120 kg K20/ha. The significant effects of cut number and species on the mineral content of grasses were observed. The highest content of Ca and Cu in Italian ryegrass and that of P, Mg, K, Na and Zn in perennial ryegrass, as well as the lowest content of Ca in orchardgrass and Zn in Italian ryegrass was stated
