Since the spring to the autumn in 1982 common vole densities showed distinctly the downwards tendency with retaining of the great number of populated fields. Mean densities of above 400 reopened holes per 1 hectare was stated in the 17 percent of districts in the spring; 10 percent of districts in the summer and 11 percent of districts in the autumn
