Nitrogen nutrition and the properties of pod beans

It has been found out that nitrogen has highly positive effect upon the quality of the string beans' pods since the increased doses of nitrogen fertilizers influenced the increase of the relative content of total and soluble dry matter and proteins as well as the total production per unit of area. Qualitative characteristics of pods vary in relation to the preceding crop and weather conditions.
