Storage quality of three sizes (45-55 g, 35-45 g and 25-35 g/tuber) of eight tubers TPS progenies, CEX 69.1 x DTO-28, MFS-1, CEK 69.1 x DTO-33, MG- 1, MFS-1-13, TPS-2% Atzimba x R-128.6 against Cardinal (control) has been studied for 120 days (April 15 to July 15, 1986) in natural storage. Weight loss due the dehydration was 23.55% in TPS progenies and 11.17% in control with monthly loss of 12.55% and 5.77% respectively. Small tuber (25-35 g) suffered most from dehydration. Fusarium and Erwinia spp. have been identified to cause rots of tubers in storage. The incidence of dry rot (34.15%) was higher than soft rot (26.31%). No rote was observed in control during the period of study. Maximum loss due to both dry rot 11.64% and soft rot (8.22%) was recorded in larger tuber (45-55 g). Sprout initiation was earlier and number and length of sprouts were more in TPS progenies than that of control.
