Forage, grain yield and grain yield attributes of two wheat cultivars as affected by cutling and three seeding rates (40, 60 and 80 kg/ fad) were studied. Cutting wheat plants after 40 days from sowing had no significant effects on number of spikes/ plant, spikes/ m2, spiklets/ spike, grain weight/ spike; 1000 grain weight and grain yield/ fad. However, non-cutting plants had longer stems, spikes and consequently morestraw yield than the cutting ones. Forage yield resulted from cutting wheat plants at 40 days old ranged from 3.855 to 4.485 ton/ fad. Seeding rate had significant effects on forage yield, spikes/ m2, spikclets/ spike, grain weight/ spike as well as grain and straw yield/ fad. Insignificant effect of seeding rates on number of spikes/ plant and 1000-grain weight was detected.
