The present work was carried out at Sabahia Horticultural Research Station during the two winter seasons of 1986 and 1987, to study the effect of some chemical herbicides and their combination as well as hand-hoeing on Faba bean and associated weeds. All the herbicidal treatments depressed significantly weed number. The highest killing effect was noticed by treating with a combination of Igran + Cobex in 1986, while Stomp + Igran combination was found to have the highest depressing effect on weed number in 1987 season. Each of the herbicidal treatments had a comparable effect with hand-hoeing on weed growth at harvesting time of Faba bean. The studied weed control treatments had no significant effect on Faba bean plant height, number of branches/ plant, green pod weight, number of dry seeds/ plant, weight of dry seeds/ pod and seed index. Treating with Stomp 33.5% at 1.25% L./ feddan combining with Linuron at 375 gm./ feddan increased the green and dry seed yield/ plant
