Increasing number of irrigations from four to eight irrigations increased significantly straw, fiber and seed yield/feddan, total plant height, technical length, flowering region length, number of capsules/ plant and number of seeds/capsule. Fiber percentage, fiber length, fiber fineness, number of fruiting branches/plant and protein and oil percentages increased insignificantly by decreasing irrigation intervals. 1000-seed weight, iodine value and refractive index were not affected by number of irrigations. Weed control treatments (hand weeding, brominal, and linuron) increased significantly straw, fiber and seed yield/feddan, plant height, technical length, flowering region length, number of capsules/plant and number of seeds/ capsule compared with unweeded treatment. On the other and hand, fiber percentage, fiber length, fiber fineness, number of fruiting branches/plant 1000-seed weight, protein percentage, oil percentages, iodine value and refractive index were not significantly affected by weed control treatments
