Abouelkhair, K.S. | Omran, T.A. | Abougazia, H.A. (Alexandria Univ. (Egypt). Faculty of Agriculture)
Four genera associated with different tree species are recognised in the different sites in the soils of the North Coast of Egypt. The genera Acaulospora, and Gigaspora were abundant in different soils, Endogone sp. and Glomus aggregatum were rare. Soil moisture, PH, organic carbon, total nitrogen content, and soil texture were determined for each site. The characters of VAM were described in terms of diameter, wall thickness, wall color, spore color and density of spores.
