The effects of sundrying and roomdrying on the germination of two citrus rootstocks, Rough lemon and Cleopatra mandarin were evaluated. Increased drying period reduced fluid content and weight of seeds, adversely affected percentage germination and percentage poly embryony. Weight loss was more rapid in Rough lemon seeds. Decrease in weight for 1, 5 and 9 hrs sundrying of rough lemon seeds were 0.013 g, 0.011 g, and 0.009 g with 85%, 71% and 65% germination respectively, while Cleopatra mandarin for the same duration of drying gave decrease in weight of 0.170 g, 0.124 g and 0.105 g with 79%, 67% and 54% germination respectively. Corresponding germination values for room drying were, rough lemon 0.015 g, 0.014 g and 0.011 g decrease in weight with 95%, 90% and 90% germination respectively and for Cleopatra mandarin 0.177 g, 0.0161 g and 0.145 g weight decrease with 87%, 74% and 77% germination
