Haemagglutination test was carried out with the faeces of 88 dogs, clinically suspected for parvovirus enteritis. The specificity of reaction was ensured by haemagglutination-inhibition test. Parvovirus enteritis was diagnosed in 70 cases (79.5 per cent). Investigating the vaccination schedule of sick dogs, it was found that - also corresponding to the immunological state of animals - only 10 per cent of affected dogs were vaccinated at the age of older than 12 weeks and 32 of 70 dogs were not vaccinated. The authors feel it necessary to clarify the etiology of all suspected cases because the etiology specifies the exact therapy, as well as the realization of necessary control measures.
