In order to develop and establish the genetic monitoring techniques, two approaches, biochemical and immunogenetical methods, were applicated. And it was performed that domestic 28 kinds of 7 mouse strains were examined on genetic contamination and mutation through the determination of 17 gene loci using electrophoresis. It is very useful to monitor genetically in inbred mice that the biochemical markers consisting of 14 isozymes and 3 proteins are detected on their gene loci using cellulose acetate membrane electrophoresis. The skin grafting method as a immunogenetic monitoring technique to determine histocompatibility gene (H-2) of inbred mice may be applicated conveniently to genetic monitoring. It was established that a genetic monitoring technique using cytotoxicity test can be used immunogenetically to identify major histocompatibility complex of mouse (H-2) in K and D regions of class I loci. By the results of these studies, genetic contamination and mutation can be examined, and so it can be attempted to achieve the homogenization of the quality of domestic laboratory animals scattered here and there
