[Taxonomical revision of Trisetum genus (Gramineae: Pooideae) in Mexico]

The genus Trisetum and each of the 11 species present in Mexico are described and a key to lspecies is provided. Based on morphological and anatomical studies and on observations of populations in the field, T. rosei is united with T. spicatum, T. evolutum with T. deyeuxoides, and T. lpalmeri and T. mexicanum with T. viride. Chromosomess counts were obtained from six species; those from T. viride y T. curvisetum are new, and that for T. irazuense is the first obtained from Mexican material. All are tetrapoids, 2n=28.
