Effects of hormonal stimulation of sexual maturation on the hypothalamic catecholamine content in European eel (Anguilla anguilla L.)

For investigation, 184 males and 108 females of the European eel (Anguilla anguilla L.) were used. The results have shown that stimulation of sexual maturation caused an activation of the aminergic nuclei and abolished circadian rhythmicity in the hypothalamic catecholamine level of the investigated eels
